• Provides informational "health" ratings and summaries about video games
• Aims to help parents, caregivers and educators understand potential benefits and risks of games

Game Compass is not:

• Medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice
• Legal or financial advice
• A replacement for age ratings like ESRB/PEGI

You remain responsible for decisions you make about games, screen time, and parenting.

Game Compass is primarily designed for adults (18+), especially:

• Parents and caregivers
• Educators and youth workers
• Researchers and professionals

If you are under 18, please use the site with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Respect the rights of others, including children, parents and game developers
• Not attempt to damage, disrupt or overload the site

You agree not to:

• Scrape or mass-download our content for commercial use without permission

• Our evaluations, health labels and scoring methodology are protected as intellectual property.

• Read and share links to our pages

  • Credit "Game Compass"
  • Link back to the original page

You may not:

• Copy large portions of our database or rating texts
• Repackage our evaluations as your own product or service without written permission

• Stores (e.g. Steam, Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, mobile app stores)

We work hard to keep our evaluations accurate and up to date. However, Game Compass is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• The site will be available at all times or free of technical issues
• A game will always match our evaluation for every player or context

You use the Service at your own risk. We encourage parents to combine our ratings with their own judgment and knowledge of their child.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we (and our team, partners, and contributors) will not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages
• Loss of data, revenue, or opportunities
• Decisions you make (or fail to make) based on Game Compass content

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will be limited to the amount you paid us for using the Service (which is typically zero, since we currently offer it for free).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
